Product-Specific Messages Moved & Enhanced
Before, product-specific emails were available for Web Portal sales only. You added these in Web Portal settings on each product page. Now, find your product-specific emails under Cloud Setup. Any messages you had created before this update migrated here. These will now trigger for transactions across all XTruLink channels: Web Portal, Kiosk, and MPOS. See our Knowledgebase article for details.
Recurring Event Reminders
Send automated event reminders to ticket holders before an event date. Keep your events top-of-mind for your audience. Make sure they don't forget to attend and let them know what to expect. Learn more here.
Recurring Membership Expiration Reminders
Send automated membership renewal reminders. Let your customers know when their membership is expiring and encourage them to renew. Set it and forget it! No need to run a manual renewal process in Altru. Read more here.
Scheduled Messages for Event Attendees

Product-Specific Receipt Inserts
Instead of sending an additional email about a specific product, just add a short snippet to your receipts. This could be an extra thank-you for a donation designation, or a reminder to bring an important item. Check out this article to see how.
Improvements & Bug Fixes
- Fee rollup. Group any Online Sales fees on your XTruLink Web portal into one row at checkout and on your receipts. Enable this option via System > XTruLink Settings > Online Settings.
- Add a list of all event registrants and registration question responses to your messages and receipts. You can add this using the {{ event_registrants_block}} merge variable when creating your message templates.
- View and resend all messages sent through XTruLink. Find this message history under Messaging > Message Logs.
- The login screen on Web Portal has updated language to remind members to create an account if they have not already done so.
- Other system enhancements and bug fixes.
Note: The Text Messaging module in your XTruLink system is now a Legacy feature. All Text Messaging functionality now lives under the Messaging tab. The Legacy Text Messaging Module will be removed from your system on November 1st, 2022. Please try out the new Recurring and Scheduled Messages feature to setup Text Messaging.
